Mini Mayhem is a brand new course that will be constructed
by coaches and guides from CycleActive
within the Main Arena at this year's Mountain Mayhem even, designed
specifically for young riders. Therell be ramps, rumble strips,
skinnies, limbo bars and more all designed to provide a safe
challenge and lots of fun. The course will be open all day Saturday
from 10am to 4pm with skills coaching sessions being run every
half hour by the CycleActive instructors. These are sessions
are designed to mix great learning with great fun, as theyre
shown how to ride better, safer and smoother so they really
get the most out of the course.

On completion of the training (which takes around
25 minutes) children will be given a Mini Mayhem number board
which entitles them to come back any time the course is open to
practice. Every child who completes the training will be invited
to a special ceremony at 4:30pm Saturday on the main stage where
they will be awarded certificate and medal to show their achievements.
There will also be a draw to win one of three Giant bikes.
On Sunday the course will be open and supervised
between 10am and 1pm, so any child who has a number board can
come back and ride whenever they wish. The Mini Mayhem concept
came from Chris Ford, the founder of CycleActive.
"Kids love to play on their bikes, and they love
new challenges, so a course like this is the perfect place for
them to have a go and have fun,"he explained. "My own boys came
to Mayhem last year and just riding round the arena, feeling like
part of something big, made them feel great. This takes it to
a whole new level theyre going to love it!"
